I thought everyone would like to
see some photos and memories of the old Hall
Closet.
I started collecting Hall back in 1977,
when Harvey Duke issued his first collector's book.
This was before the internet, and if you
collected you had to actually GO places. Don't get me wrong, even though a
lot of collectors think the internet is bad for our hobby/sickness, I have
seen things on eBay that I never would've thought existed before the
internet.
Waiting in the van for The Closet to
open, watching the "ducks".
I thought they said it opened at 8:00
am?!

Another view of the front of the store.
It was about a half of a block from the current Hall Closet and the old
entrance to Hall China.

This is from one of the
salesrooms. Ronald Reagan tea pots everywhere!
Who picks out the colors? They should have let collectors decide the colors!

Ducks, ducks, and more
ducks....

This building was really in bad
condition. Stuff everywhere!

This is "Pearl" on the job, at her
counter at the old Hall Closet. She was the one to ask if you needed to
know the truth about something. She knew everyone, and
everything.

Stacks and Stacks of Autumn Leaf.

This is Harvey Duke, and "Pearl" at the
1991 Pittsburgh Depression Glass Show when Harvey was the guest author and
Pearl was just visiting. He is holding a Hall China restaurant ware dinner
plate from "Dukes" restaurant that Pearl brought him as a gift.

I know these aren't Hall, but
thought you might like to see them. These are Crooksville Orange Poppy and
the only ones I have ever seen.

Thought you also might like to see this
"Tea For Four" set found in the East Liverpool area many many years ago.

I've got more photos, and other
Hall-related info that I'll be sending, so keep checking back for more info.....
